Pioneer DJ CDJ-350-W Rekordbox-Ready Digital Deck (White) DJM-900NXS. Mapping Traktor controllers (X1/D2s/etc) to Rekordbox? Hi guys, I'm actually really interested in some of the Native Instrument controllers but I don't want to switch to the software for various reasons so I was wondering if some of you had knowledge/experience of stable ways to map them to Rekordbox?

- Kontrol X1 with FX 3&4, sample deck volume/filter control and layout control for A, B, C, and D. Based on Rainer's original X1 companion mapping for the S4 but I've some EQ kills, deck flavor/size control for all four decks and sample deck retriggers. Pro - Version 2.0.0 - 2.0.3.

Traktor Kontrol X1 Setup
Hi All,
I’m new to DJing. And I was wondering if it is possible to create a setup where I connect two pioneer CDJ’s and a Kontrol X1 to my laptop which will be running Traktor DJ software.
I want to be able to control the Track decks by the CDJs and effects by Kontrol X1.
Is this possible in any ways?
Depends on the CDJs, but could be possible. I am out of Traktor software and gear too long to tell you for sure if you can use two controllers to control 1 deck, but as memory serves I think that is feasible.
You’d also need a mixer obviously. And I hope someone can chime in whether the CDJs work in HID mode with Traktor or pure midi. In the latter case the jog response might not be super.
This is all based upon midi controlling tracks. If you are thinking about going DVS with TimeCode CD’s the story changes. You’d need a Traktor supported 4+4 soundcard, TimeCode CDs and the right version of Traktor.
And X1 will Control effects and both decks if you want it to, without anything else. Which is what I use when djing in clubs along with an external mixer.
because of your version of traktor, I’m not sure on the CDs side of things, you probably need traktor scratch pro for cdj use, plus a sound card, but maybe do one else can clarify.
You can go with 2x CDJ 2000 Nexus and use them as controllers via USB, but they will not play CDs that way. So you will be limited to use them solely as controllers, which makes for quite expensive controllers. You actually would have more options just using an S4 instead and hell of a lot cheaper.
Since you can do ALL that with a controller (or two XDJ-1000s which cost the same as one CDJ2000), there is no reason for the CDJs. Get an S4 and go for it.
Yes but if an s4 is out of your budget, then 2 pioneer cdj 2000 definetly will be.
Not all clubs have the cdj2000s so if you do turn up to play and they don’t have any then you are stuck? like some people on this forum state, some clubs expect you to bring your own gear.
Mat some people are resistant to advise as they have an idea (however wrong) in their head and do not trust people with 20+ years background in the industry. If that happens, then just let them, if they did not exist the market for used gear would be much weaker and used prices much higher…
If you want cdj use then, Your best bet is to buy and audio 6 soundcard package for £239gbp as this can be used as a dvs system this will enable you to use any cdjs or turntables, wherever you play,
Or if they do not have cdjs or turntables, you can just play off your kontrol X1.
But a traktor s2 or s4 would be a a lot better for your needs, as you get control over your decks, and effects plus the s4 can be used as a standalone mixer.
